Here are some examples of grant programs that are regularly used by our clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<div  class='togglecontainer av-av_toggle_container-8e0c6e39d39b619a829887bd54fff3ed  avia-builder-el-8  el_after_av_textblock  avia-builder-el-last  toggle_close_all ' >\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-av_toggle-f9f41117190dc23f9f2f529072472c71'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div role=\"tablist\" class=\"single_toggle\" data-tags=\"{All} \"  ><p data-fake-id='#toggle-id-1' class='toggler   '  itemprop=\"headline\"  role='tab' tabindex='0' aria-controls='toggle-id-1'><strong>NSERC - College and Community Innovation Program (CCI)<\/strong><span class=\"toggle_icon\"><span class=\"vert_icon\"><\/span><span class=\"hor_icon\"><\/span><\/span><\/p><div id='toggle-id-1' class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The College and Community Innovation (CCI) Program is managed by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in collaboration with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).<\/p>\n<p>The grants are intended to provide companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian colleges and to train students in essential technical skills required by companies. The mutually beneficial collaborations are expected to result in economic benefits to the company and\/or Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The program includes several funding streams available to businesses :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Professors-Professeurs\/RPP-PP\/Engage-Engagement_eng.asp\">Engage Grants<\/a> support well-defined research projects undertaken by college researchers and their industrial partners. A maximum grant of $25,000 over a period not exceeding six months will be awarded to support the project costs. An Engage project must generate new knowledge or apply existing knowledge in an innovative manner in order to solve a company-specific problem.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Professors-Professeurs\/RPP-PP\/ARD-RDA_eng.asp\">Applied Research and Development (ARD) Grants<\/a> support well-defined applied research and development projects undertaken by college researchers with their private-sector partners. Direct project costs are shared by the company partner(s) and NSERC. It facilitates, among other things, access to a range of services useful for the advancement of applied research, testing, experimentation, etc., requiring the expertise of one or more organizations members of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.economie.gouv.qc.ca\/objectifs\/informer\/recherche-et-innovation\/page\/politiques-et-orientations-18883\/?tx_igaffichagepages_pi1%5bbackPid%5d=18870&#038;tx_igaffichagepages_pi1%5bcurrentCat%5d=&#038;cHash=286f9411b8f4dc49e30d64a7eeca6f86&#038;tx_igaffichagepages_pi1%5bmode%5d=single&#038;tx_igaffichagepages_pi1%5bparentPid%5d=18882\">Qu\u00e9becInnove<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible customers :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SMEs;<\/li>\n<li>cooperatives;<\/li>\n<li>the social development NPOs legally constituted in Quebec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eligible projects\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>Projects of technological, organizational and social innovation with a maturity level between 1 and 9.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-av_toggle-92ef3774d615574f0054cf60af7c01f3'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div role=\"tablist\" class=\"single_toggle\" data-tags=\"{All} \"  ><p data-fake-id='#toggle-id-3' class='toggler   '  itemprop=\"headline\"  role='tab' tabindex='0' aria-controls='toggle-id-3'><strong>Tax credit for technological adaptation services<\/strong><span class=\"toggle_icon\"><span class=\"vert_icon\"><\/span><span class=\"hor_icon\"><\/span><\/span><\/p><div id='toggle-id-3' class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The tax credit for technological adaptation services was introduced to support buisinesses in their innovation and technology transfert projects. A corporation of any size can benefit from the tax credit if it carries on a business in Quebec, has an etablishment and is not exempt from tax.<\/p>\n<p>The services covered include, but are not limited to\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>locating and brokering research results;<\/li>\n<li>business needs assessment;<\/li>\n<li>bringing stakeholders together;<\/li>\n<li>conducting technical feasibility studies and evaluating the commercial potential of innovation projects;<\/li>\n<li>support for companies in the implementation stages of their innovation project (excluding eligible SR &#038; ED expenditures);\u00a0and<\/li>\n<li>software licensing tests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The credit will be determined by multiplying by 40% the amount of eligible expenditure incurred by a corporation for liaison and transfert services when rendered by college technology transfer centers or liaison and transfer centers.<\/p>\n<p>To claim this tax credit, the corporation simply completes and encloses with its income tax return the Tax Credit for Technological Adaptation Services form\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.revenuquebec.ca\/en\/online-services\/forms-and-publications\/current-details\/co-1029.8.21.22-t\/\">Cr\u00e9dit d\u2019imp\u00f4t pour services d\u2019adaptation technologique (CO-1029.8.21.22)<\/a>\u00a0along with a copy of the receipt delivered by the college technology transfert center.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-av_toggle-4ea506113fd3dbf621a6a289eb2a4adc'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div role=\"tablist\" class=\"single_toggle\" data-tags=\"{All} \"  ><p data-fake-id='#toggle-id-4' class='toggler   '  itemprop=\"headline\"  role='tab' tabindex='0' aria-controls='toggle-id-4'><strong>NRC-IRAP<\/strong><span class=\"toggle_icon\"><span class=\"vert_icon\"><\/span><span class=\"hor_icon\"><\/span><\/span><\/p><div id='toggle-id-4' class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) provides financial support to qualified small and medium-sized enterprises in Canada to help them undertake technology innovation.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility criteria<\/h3>\n<p>In order to be considered for possible IRAP funding, the basic eligibility criteria are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a small and medium-sized enterprise in Canada, incorporated and profit-oriented;<\/li>\n<li>have 500 or fewer full-time equivalent employees; and<\/li>\n<li>have the objective to grow and generate profits through development and commercialization of innovative, technology-driven new or improved products, services, or processes in Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before entering into a financial commitment with a client, both the firm and the project are evaluated on an individual basis during a consultation with one of our Industrial Technology Advisors (ITAs) located across Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The potential client must contact one of our ITAs who will assist them with their projects by calling our toll-free number at 1-877-994-4727. Both the firm and the project are assessed by IRAP. Specifically, the due diligence process assesses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the business and management capabilities of the firm and the company&#8217;s potential to achieve the expected results and outcomes associated with the proposed project;<\/li>\n<li>the financial capabilities of the firm and its plan to commercialize the developed technologies; and<\/li>\n<li>the technical aspects of the project and its potential impact on the firm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-av_toggle-5799b7783a86ebb3a8e3727491f3adb1'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div role=\"tablist\" class=\"single_toggle\" data-tags=\"{All} \"  ><p data-fake-id='#toggle-id-5' class='toggler   '  itemprop=\"headline\"  role='tab' tabindex='0' aria-controls='toggle-id-5'><strong>MEES - Technological Research Assistance Program<\/strong><span class=\"toggle_icon\"><span class=\"vert_icon\"><\/span><span class=\"hor_icon\"><\/span><\/span><\/p><div id='toggle-id-5' class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.gouv.qc.ca\/le-ministere\/programmes-de-soutien-financier\/programme-daide-a-la-recherche-et-au-transfert-part\/\">programme d\u2019aide \u00e0 la recherche technologique (PART)<\/a>\u00a0aims to enhance the potential of the human and technological of ressources of CEGEPs and Technology Transfer Center to meet the innovation needs of Quebec buisinesses and organizations.<\/p>\n<p>It makes it possible both to strengthen the links between the CEGEPs and buisinesses and organizations and to enrich the work of teachers. It also makes it possible to subsidize applied research projects, the results of which are most often reflected in a real transfer to Quebec companies, particularly SMEs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-av_toggle-a586db8a7bd29a7cf60de4915d5a8595'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The Ministry supports CEGEPs with respect to their college technology transfer centers (CCTT) for the development of an intervention model aimed at pooling the expertise of different partners to better support research and innovation, to promote spin-offs, particularly in education, in all regions of
